Remote Learning Basics Webinars

  1. Blackboard Ultra Basics - Blackboard Ultra is an online learning management system that allows you to facilitate your course online. This workshop will provide instruction on how to access your courses, learn how to create and upload content and files, use discussion boards and other communication tools, and how to input grades in the gradebook.

  2. Blackboard Collaborate - Blackboard Collaborate is a conferencing and collaborative tool that you can use to meet synchronously with your students. You will learn how to schedule a session, hold virtual office hours, facilitate an interactive web conference, share files, use breakout groups and share recordings with your students. 
    • Watch. You can access the video using your YSU credentials.
  3. WebEx Meetings/Teams - Webex Meetings is a video conferencing tool that allows you to meet synchronously online with your students. During the meeting, you can share content, create a poll, and annotate your screen. Meetings will record the session, create a transcript of the session and the recordings can be linked, downloaded, and shared with your students. You can also use Webex Meetings as a lecture capture tool to record your lecture and share it with students. Webex Teams is a shared collaborative teams space where you can create spaces for group projects, message students, upload files, schedule office hours, start meetings and whiteboard.

  4. Instructional Media  - Instructional Media tools enable you to connect and engage with students in various ways. We will be assisting you in how to create quick using Webex or Screencast-o-matic and easy videos, upload them to Microsoft Stream, use OneDrive for distributing material and how you can provide feedback to students. Tips on how to best use your Office 365 online tools and calendars.
