Order of Omega

Order of Omega

Order of Omega is a national leadership honor society that was founded in 1959 at the University of Miami. Order of Omega has over 500 chapters in North America that recognize students for their scholarship, leadership, character, and service to the Greek, campus and local community. We strive to recognize those fraternity men and women who have attained a high standard of scholarship and leadership in interfraternal activities, to encourage them to continue along this line, and to inspire others to strive for similar conspicuous attainment.

Membership is only available to the top 5% of Greeks at this institution. Please return your completed application by Friday, February 23. To answer any questions you may have regarding Order of Omega, you may contact the chapter president, Ella Hazy at elhazy@student.ysu.edu or chapter advisor, Carrie Anderson at clanderson@ysu.edu.

We also encourage you to visit the Order of Omega Website for additional information. Acceptance letters will be sent out no later than March 1. Our campus can only admit 20 students to the Omicron Nu chapter.

If accepted the cost for membership is $85 or $101 if you desire cords. Initiation will take place during the awards portion of our Annual Greek Sing competition, scheduled for Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Stambaugh Auditorium.

Again, congratulations on your undergraduate accomplishments. We hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to affiliate yourself with an international community of outstanding leaders and scholars.
