  • Group Fitness classes are FREE for YSU students and members of the Andrews Student Recreation & Wellness Center.
  • Registration is encouraged: Register in the Rec Center Store

Class Details:

  • Lower Body HIIT: Strengthen & tone the lower body in a circuit-style interval workout!

  • Pilates: Strengthen your core, improve flexibility, and feel your best in this dynamic, all-levels Pilates class.

  • Upper Body HIIT: Strengthen & tone the upper body in a circuit-style interval workout!

  • Yoga: Dynamic flows that promote strength and endurance, while increasing body and mind awareness. Great for all fitness levels!

  • Cycling: Indoor cycling class that helps build physical strength and increase cardio endurance. The class intensity is up to you, so all fitness levels will excel in the same class!

  • Spinning: Indoor cycling class that helps build physical strength and increase cardio endurance. The class intensity is up to you, so all fitness levels will excel in the same class!

  • Yoga Basics: Yoga flow that introduces foundational poses and mindful movement. Perfect for anyone wanting to learn, refresh their practice, or simply unwind, relieve stress, and find balance.

  • Cardio HIIT: Come join this 30 min circuit-style workout to improve aerobic and muscular endurance!

  • Intro to Weight Training: Intro to Weight Training is a beginner-friendly, all-levels class that teaches proper form, safe technique, and confidence with basic strength-training equipment. Each session focuses on simple, effective movements to build a solid foundation for future training.

Youngstown State University is a hosting site for the American Council on Exercise (ACE) & American College on Sports and Medicine (ACSM) Online Examinations. All examinations are offered in the Comprehensive Testing Center, located in Meshel Hall.
