Natatorium Rules
- No one in pool without authorized lifeguard!
- Lifeguards have complete jurisdiction in pool area
- Only bathing attire is allowed in pool and/or deck.
- All children under 12 years old and non-swimmers must be accompanied by a responsible person.
- Only Current faculty, staff and students of Youngstown State University and their families are allowed in the pool.
- Validated YSU I.D.'s are required for equipment and facility use.
- Do not dive into the shallow end of the pool.
- Open recreation can include activities other than lap swimming (this is the time to bring children who do not swim laps).
- All Campus Recreation programs, scheduled facility usage, equipment, and services are exclusively reserved for students, faculty, staff, Rec option Alumni members, and authorized outside teams.
- Proper swim attire is required. Swimming in underwear, sanitaries, thongs or see through suits is prohibited.
- Swimmers with open sores or an infectious disease are not permitted in the pool or pool area.
- No smoking.
- No eating, drinking, or chewing gum in the pool or pool area.
- No intoxicating beverages or intoxicated persons are allowed.
- All glass and glass containers are prohibited; ne exceptions.
- Use of diving platform is restricted to persons who are under the personal direction of the aquatic director.
- Only lifeguards may occupy the stands.
- Anyone not complying with pool rules will lose their pool privileges.
- Flotation devices are available anytime upon request.
- We will have several groups using the facility simultaneously. It is important to respect all users and swim in the proper designated areas.
