Signing a Lease
When signing a lease, read it carefully and make sure you understand your responsibilities and obligations, as well as those of the landlord. Ask a friend to go with you to check the terms of the lease. Carefully inspect your apartment for damage and cleanliness. Notify the landlord, in writing, if there are any problems with the apartment. You will also need to determine who pays for utilities and under whose name the bill will be stated.
