English Language Institute

The English Language Institute is dedicated to offering English language courses, activities, and cultural events to a diverse population of learners to help them overcome linguistic barriers and prepare them for academic success at Youngstown State University.

Youngstown State University (YSU) is a comprehensive urban research university founded in 1908. YSU is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and offers 115+ undergraduate majors  and 40+ Master’s programs through its six colleges.

The 130-acre Youngstown State University campus is located in Youngstown, Ohio, a one-hour drive from Cleveland, Ohio and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and 400 miles from the cities of New York and Chicago.
