Instructional Design and Development Center


Welcome to the iddc

The Instructional Design and Development Center (IDDC) is part of YSU's Department of Cyberlearning. We provide training and support in the design of online courses and application of instructional technologies to university faculty.

The major functions of the IDDC are as follows:

  • Provide expertise in online course design, development, and pedagogy in support of continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and facilitate professional development sessions for faculty related to distance education, online teaching, and educational technology.
  • Develop and maintain robust and accessible resources to assist faculty in the development of courses using Blackboard and educational technology.
  • Provide service and support for online programs and courses.
  • Conduct informal reviews of online courses in accordance with eYSU Development Review process.
