Blackboard Committee

Charge: The Blackboard Committee serves as an advisory and collaborative group focused on the strategic use, support, and development of Blackboard at Youngstown State University. The committee shall be responsible for reviewing, discussing, and making recommendations regarding the use, management, and support of Blackboard on campus. This includes:

  • Evaluating product updates and new features to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Gathering and communicating faculty perspectives on desired improvements and changes to Blackboard.
  • Discussing effective use cases and promoting best practices for instructional design and student engagement within the platform.
  • Reviewing and recommending strategies for training, support, and accessibility in Blackboard usage.
  • Collaborating with Youngstown State Online, IT, ITL, and other campus departments to ensure seamless integration with existing technologies.
  • Providing feedback on the implementation on new features and product updates.
