Center of Excellence in International Business

Designated as an Ohio Center of Excellence by the Ohio Board of Regents, the center provides global education and opportunities to students; supports and encourages faculty research in global business; and enhances local and regional economic development through workshops, seminars, faculty consulting, networking and internships. We integrate the strong international business activities of the WCBA and its center and initiatives to advance our work in teaching, scholarship and outreach services.

Center for Nonprofit Leadership

The Center for Nonprofit Leadership provides academic programming and professional development experiences for students interested in pursuing a career in nonprofit management or community work. With academic, internship, student organization and service learning components, the center promotes the nonprofit sector, which offers a wide range of careers in many professional disciplines and the opportunity to make a difference.

Export Assistance network

The center provides free services to businesses in a 10 county region that are interested in exploring and expanding their international trade activity. These counties include Ashtabula, Carroll, Columbiana, Geauga, Mahoning, Portage, Stark, Trumbull, and Tuscarawas.

The Entrepreneurship Center is a resource to develop entrepreneurship initiatives and programs and communicate the entrepreneurship theme throughout the community.


Ohio Small Business Development Center

The Small Business Development Center helps existing businesses develop and retain a competitive advantage in the ever-changing global economy, and it guides entrepreneurs to realizing their dream of business ownership.

Ohio APEX Accelerator at YSU

The Ohio APEX Accelerator at YSU supports the growth of existing businesses entering the local, state and federal government contracting markets, by providing consulting services and training programs. The APEX Accelerator connects companies in Trumbull, Mahoning, and Columbiana counties with significant business opportunities in government procurement.
