  Incoming STEM students are invited to STEMFest to meet faculty, staff, and other STEM students. Learn about our student organizations and meet people from your major! RSVP HERE and details will be emailed to you.

  STEM COLLEGE ALL ALUMNI TAILGATE | SEPTEMBER 16 | 10:00am-2:00pm

  The STEM College invites all those who have graduated with a STEM degree at any point in YSU history to attend our All Alumni Tailgate. Alums may bring a guest and receive a free ticket to the game against Robert Morris @ 2:00. RSVP Here.

  Silly Science Sunday | September 17 | 11:00am-4:00pm

  Location: OhWOW Science Center/Federal Plaza

  YSU STEM joins our friends at OHWOW to celebrate Silly Science Sunday. Learners of all ages should check out this free community event with tons of hands-on and interactive activities and demonstrations. Daniel Tiger will be making an appearance. Design your own egg-drop contraption and enter our contest- will it withstand the test of gravity?! See website for details.

  7 DAYS of STEM FESTIVAL | September 18-23 | Various Times

  Location: Various

  OHWOW Science Center is proud to present the 7 Days of STEM Festival, a week-long celebration of all things STEM. Check out the calendar for a live list of events for all ages and audiences. Check out the website for details.

  Watson Team center Open House | September 19 | 3:30Pm-5:00pm

  Location: Watson Team Center (1580 W Rayen Ave)

  As part of the 7 Days of STEM Festival, visitors are invited to meet the YSU College of STEM Engineering Competition Teams in the brand-new Watson Team Center. Interact with YSU STEM students while checking out the top nationally and internationally ranked teams, including concrete canoe, steel bridge, Baja car and rocket club.

  STEM Expo | September 28 | 12:00pm-4:00pm

  Location: Stambaugh Stadium, check-in @ Gym C

  Current STEM students and STEM alumni are encouraged to attend the Fall STEM Expo. Over 120 local, regional, and national employers will be present to recruit students to co-ops, internships, and full-time positions. Students can find more information, along with the list of registered employers, on Handshake. Employers wishing to participate should also create a Handshake account to get started.

  Penguin Preview Day | October 28 | 8:30am-1:00pm

  Interested in becoming a YSU Penguin? Preview Day is a great chance to learn about campus and whatever major you're considering. Check out the Office of Admissions website for details and to register.

• November

  Women in 3d Printing/YSU STEM Alumni Networking Mixer | November 1 | 5:00pm-7:00pm

  Students and professionals are invited to Youngstown State University's Excellence Training Center (ETC) for a unique opportunity in collaboration with the Northeast Ohio Women in 3D Printing Chapter. Valuable professional connections and touring the ETC, a one-of-a-kind workforce, education, research and commercial center focused on advanced manufacturing, are a couple of the amazing opportunities attendees will get to experience at this event. RSVP required to attend.

  14th Annual Miniature Bridge Building Competition | February 27 | 7:00Am-2:45pm

  Location: Kilcawley Center

  High school teams will compete to see who can build the strongest bridge! More information can be found on the competition website.

  Mathfest | February 29 | 8:30am-2:00pm

  Location: Kilcawley Center

  Celebrate the beauty and power of math with 150 students from Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. Participate in workshops and competitions and learn about the diverse array of careers available in mathematics. More information can be found on the MathFest website.

  District 15 Lake-to-river Science Day | March 16 | 8:30am-4:00pm

  Location: Stambaugh Stadium, Gyms A-C

  Sponsored by the Ohio Academy of Science, YSU hosts the District 15 Regional Science Fair for students in 5th-12th grade. More information can be found on the Lake-to-River website.

  Annual STEM Showcase | April 20 | 10:30am-1:00pm

  Location: Moser Hall

  The STEM Showcase features over 50 STEM student projects and competition teams. See what our students have been working on all year and the multitude of opportunities available for our STEMguins. This is a great FREE event for prospective students and is open to the community. More information is available on the website.

  Annual STEM Convocation | April 20 | 1:30pm-3:00pm

  Each year we honor our student's achievements at the STEM Convocation. Invited students and their guests will be recognized for their accomplishments and scholarship recipients will be announced.
