Williamson Innovation Park

In 2022, The Bud Williamson family donated approximately 220 acres of land to Youngstown State University to become the Williamson Innovation Park.

The Williamson Innovation Park aims to provide outdoor spaces for students to learn and problem-solve, from kindergarten to college, particularly focusing on wireless communication, unmanned flight, and environmental/agricultural studies.

As a new venture, our partnerships and opportunities will continue to expand. See the links to the right for additional information on how to connect with us!

Partnerships

Are you a community organization or company interested in partnering with us to provide K-12 STEM educational opportunities? In particular, we are looking for partners to assist with:

  • Providing activities and career awareness for school visits, particularly in the areas of nature studies/environmental science, flight/unmanned flight, wireless communication/radio
  • Providing staffing for summer camps
  • Providing in-kind gifts, donations, or other support of Williamson Innovation Park activities and summer camps

While the Park is primarily focused on K-12 STEM outreach and education, we also support our YSU STEM students and their projects, particularly the following competition teams who use the Park to test and fine-tune their projects:

  • SAE Baja Car
  • YSU Aero Team (AAIA Design, Build, Fly)
  • YSU Combat Robotics (Robogames)
  • ASCE Concrete Canoe Team

Reach out if you are interested in helping any of these teams to establish the facilities that would best support them in their goals at the Williamson Innovation Park.
