YSU College Credit Plus Info Night Nov. 7 on campus

Youngstown State University will provide information on College Credit Plus, a program that allows middle and high school students to earn college credit, at an event 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center on campus.

CCP is a dual-enrollment program administered by the Metro Credit Education Outreach Office at YSU. While enrolled in CCP, middle and high school students are eligible to receive both high school and college credit. Students can take courses at their high schools, online or on YSU’s campus.

More than 1,400 Mahoning Valley high school students earned college credit at YSU CCP last year. Students participating were primarily from Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana and Portage counties. Taking classes on campus, online and in their high schools, they earned nearly 11,000 college credit hours in 2015-16.
