The Youngstown State University Institute on Taxation, offered by the Williamson College of Business Administration has been canceled.


The Youngstown State University Institute on Taxation, offered by the Williamson College of Business Administration, is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Friday, June 18. The seminar will be on-campus but will also be available virtually, with speakers both on campus and online. 

The Institute on Taxation is designed for practicing accountants, enrolled agents and tax preparers who want to stay current on tax regulations and laws, and gain insight into tax planning techniques. Register at www.ysu.edu/taxseminars. Registration fee $199; fee cannot be refunded after June 15.

Conference sessions include: State Tax Update, IRS Update, Current Legislative Update, Data Security, and Current Developments - Cases and Rulings. The Accountancy Boards of Ohio and Pennsylvania have approved the Institute for eight hours of continuing professional education credit under the category of tax. Continuing education for Enrolled Agents and Tax Preparers is approved through the IRS.

The Williamson College of Business Administration is offering additional seminars and courses in 2021 as a part of a strategic initiative to bring high quality, in-demand professional development and continuing education programming to the region.

Upcoming accounting continuing education seminars include: Youngstown Government and Not for Profit Seminar in October, Youngstown Tax Update in November, and Youngstown Accounting and Auditing Update in December.
