Parking and Traffic Information:

  • Parking: Free parking is available in University lots and parking decks.

Disabled Guests at Commencement:

  • Parking: Parking for guests with disabilities will be located in the M90 lot directly across from Cafaro House. Our shuttles will take you from the parking lot directly to the rear of Beeghly Center where you will be dropped off at the door. Guests with disabilities will be greeted at this entrance by student security services and will be assisted to the accessible seating on the main floor of the gymnasium.
  • Handicapped & Accessible Accommodations: Youngstown State University is committed to accommodating people with handicaps and accessibility needs. We provide accessible seating and a sign language interpreter at each ceremonial event. Additionally, if you are a graduate that requires special accommodations, please contact either Christina Texter or Jackie LeViseur in the Office of University Events at (330) 941-3497 so that arrangements can be made as necessary.
  • Seating Information: The lower rows of chair-back seats are labeled as "handicapped & accessible seating" for those guests who are unable to climb many steps. No seating passes will be necessary, however, we respectfully request that the guest requiring assistance limit the number of persons sitting in these rows with them. The remainder of the family may sit in the rows behind the reserved seats. This will ensure that families can sit close together, while still maintaining adequate seating for guests with lesser mobility.
  • Hearing Impaired Information: Sign language interpreters will be positioned in the upper northwest section of the gymnasium.
