Gregory M. Gulas and Carrie Anderson Greek Leadership Scholarships

History: The Gregory M. Gulas Greek Leadership Scholarship is given out in honor of the past Greek Advisor, Mr. Greg Gulas who served from 1998-2012. During that time period he advised Panhellenic Council, Interfraternity Council and Greek Campus Life in several capacities. Throughout his years of service he inspired countless students to pursue leadership positions both inside and outside their Greek organizations.

The dedicated leadership and valuable advice he gave has undoubtedly left its mark on the students with whom he served. In honor of his service, this scholarship will reward students who embody the scholastic and leadership values which Greg strived to instill in every student who had the privilege of working with him.

The Carrie Anderson Greek Leadership Scholarship was established in 2021 in honor of the current Greek Advisor, Miss Carrie Anderson, who has served the Youngstown State University Greek Community since 2007 advising and assisting Panhellenic Council, Interfraternity Council, Order of Omega, and Greek Campus Life. Outside of serving as the Fraternity and Sorority Advisor, she is also a professional staff member in the Office of Student Activities where she facilitates campus programming and ensures student organization success. Throughout her years of service to the campus community, she has empowered countless students with opportunities and resources to enhance their skills as they grow in their respective leadership roles.

Carrie’s selflessness, leadership, and service has left its mark on the students with whom she’s served. In honor of her continued service, this scholarship will reward students who embody the scholastic and leadership values which Carrie strives to instill in every student who has had the privilege of working with her.
