As a former student or alum, you remain an important part of the YSU community. This page is designed to connect you with helpful resources—from transcripts and enrollment services to ongoing support as you move forward in your academic or professional path.
If you were a previous student enrolled in a Bachelors or Associates degree, you can return to the university by completing a Readmission Application.
If you were a previous student at YSU and you have attended any other college since you were last here, you will need to complete a Former Transfer Student Application.
Once you're readmitted, you'll be given the same YSU ID and email as before. You'll also need to meet with an advisor before registration.

Student loan repayment typically begins approximately 6 months after graduation/non-enrollment in post-secondary education programs.
Student loan payments are submitted to the assigned loan servicer, not the university.
Please visit Federal Student Loan Repayment | YSU for more information on loan repayment.
If full payment for tuition and other charges owed to the university cannot be obtained, the past-due balance must be turned over to the Ohio Attorney General's Collection Enforcement Office for collection, and it will be reported to the Credit Bureau.
An account turned over to the Attorney General will incur interest and collection expenses, which must be paid before any of the adverse sanctions can be removed.
Once an account becomes delinquent, the student will be required to pay the balance in full before being able to register for any future semesters.
Questions contact the Collections Department at collept@ysu.edu / (330) 941-3933 for questions regarding payments and past due balances.
