YSU Real Estate Expo April 25; license coursework starts in May

Burgan Realty and the Williamson College of Business Administration host the Youngstown State University Real Estate Expo 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 25, in Williamson Hall on the YSU campus. Students will network with real estate professionals and learn more about Ohio real estate salesperson certification, along with other career opportunities. Light refreshments will be served. Individuals who wish to obtain licensure as an Ohio Real Estate Salesperson will have the opportunity to begin coursework in the Business college starting May 2. To sit for the state exam, applicants must successfully complete four courses: Real Estate Law, Real Estate Principles & Practices, Real Estate Finance and Real Estate Appraisal. All classes are offered 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. in Williamson Hall, 221 N. Hazel Street, on the YSU campus. An annual schedule of Real Estate classes and online registration along with additional information are available at www.ysu.edu/wcba. Here is the class schedule:
  • Real Estate Appraisal: Tuesday and Thursday (5 sessions), $195, May 2-16 and Sept. 26 to Oct. 10.
  • Real Estate Finance: 5 sessions, $195, May 3–17 and Sept. 27 to Oct. 11.
  • Real Estate Law: Monday and Wednesday (10 sessions), $295, June 6 to July 11 (no class on July 4) and Oct. 24 to Nov. 28 (no class Nov. 23).
  • Real Estate Principles & Practices: Tuesday and Thursday (10 sessions), $295, July 19 to Aug. 18 and Oct. 25 to Nov. 29 (no class Nov. 24).
