YSU ranks 17th on list of nation's Most Affordable Online Colleges

YSU is ranked 17^th on the list and is the only university from Ohio that made the rankings. “For maximum student benefit, online schools must maintain a balance between cost and academics,” Affordable Colleges Online says on its website. “Though all schools may try, not all will succeed, which can have a direct effect on a student’s pocketbook. These schools have demonstrated their ability to bring academic excellence to online students with a more manageable price tag.” The rankings are based on cost-to-quality criteria and metrics that compare qualitative components of colleges with similar costs, against the tuition of colleges with similar quality.
