YSU to host annual STEM Showcase April 18

The College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics at Youngstown State University will highlight some of its top students during the annual STEM Showcase from 10:30 to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 18, in Moser Hall.

The free event has become especially popular among high school students and their parents who are interested in learning more about YSU and STEM education and career opportunities.

More than 50 student projects will be featured during the showcase. Attendees can also tour the new Youngstown Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Center and view student favorites such as Baja Car, Human-Powered Vehicle and Chem-E Car.

The event will also highlight student research efforts, including projects focused on combating dangerous bacteria and restoring ecosystems through coral translocation.
