YSU department of Art to host Portfolio Day for Aspiring Artists February 7

The YSU Department of Art invites all high school students, transfer students, and aspiring artists to Portfolio Day on Saturday, February 7! This exciting event provides an opportunity to showcase your creative work and receive valuable feedback from YSU’s art faculty, as well as learn about our programs, facilities, and scholarship opportunities.

“We invite all creative high school students who enjoy making art, whether in physical or digital form, to share their work with us! Bring any artwork you are proud of, whether it’s completed or still in progress, for one-on-one meetings with our art faculty. You will receive professional feedback, learn about, and apply for scholarship opportunities. You will also have the chance to ask any questions you might have about career paths and our art programs at YSU,” said YSU’s Department of Art Chair, Joy Christiansen Erb.

Participants are encouraged to bring 5-10 pieces of their work to share. Portfolio Day will be held 1 - 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 7, in YSU's Bliss Hall. Participation is free, but registration online is required.
