Youngstown State University's Delta Zeta sorority will host its fourth annual Hits for Hearing benefit concert Saturday, Nov. 14, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Penguin City Brewing Co. in Youngstown.
The family-friendly event is open to the public and will feature live performances by Potentia, Hard Knox, Riley Burke Band and No Funk No Justice. Attendees can also enjoy more than 15 local vendors, T-shirt sales and raffle baskets featuring items donated by community organizations and Delta Zeta members.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Delta Zeta's global philanthropy partner, Starkey Hearing Foundation, and its local philanthropy partner, Centers for Hearing Care. Both organizations support hearing health care and work to improve access to hearing services.
Starkey Hearing Foundation provides hearing health care to individuals in need through programs and hearing institutes around the world. Centers for Hearing Care, which has served Northeast Ohio since 1989, provides hearing aids, hearing health care and hearing loss prevention services throughout the Mahoning Valley.
Tickets are $10 and may be purchased in advance or at the door. YSU's Student Government Association has funded 200 complimentary tickets for YSU students, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
