YSU to celebrate National Tutor Appreciation Week Oct. 6–10

Youngstown State University will join colleges and universities across the country in celebrating National Tutor Appreciation Week Oct. 6–10, recognizing the important role tutors play in helping students achieve academic success.

Throughout the week, YSU will honor the dedicated tutors in the Writing Center, Math Achievement Center and Resch Academic Success Center, who provide individualized guidance and small group support to help students strengthen their skills, build confidence and reach their academic goals.

Faculty, staff and students are invited to share their gratitude by submitting notes of appreciation for YSU’s tutors. These messages will be collected and shared with tutors during the week as part of the celebration.

National Tutor Appreciation Week, sponsored by the National Tutoring Association, is held annually to raise awareness of tutoring resources available to students while recognizing the essential contributions of peer and professional tutors. At YSU, tutors support hundreds of students each semester, playing a vital role in the university’s mission to promote learning, persistence and success.

Join us in celebrating our dedicated tutors across campus. To show your appreciation, send a thank you message to a tutor.
