The Youngstown Historical Center of Industry & Labor will host a free, public pre-screening reception ahead of a special showing of The Deer Hunter on Friday, Feb. 20.
The reception will take place from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry & Labor. The event is co-hosted by the museum’s Friends group and its partners at Youngstown State University, including the Office of Veterans Affairs, the History Program and the Charles Darling Endowment through the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Following the reception, a complimentary film screening of The Deer Hunter will be held at 6 p.m. at Youngstown State University’s Williamson College of Business Administration Auditorium.
The screening is supported by Ohio Goes to the Movies, a signature program of 250-Ohio, part of America’s 250th celebration. The event is presented by the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry & Labor, the Ohio History Connection and Youngstown State University.
