Gold standard
YSU has won the Healthy Ohio-Healthy Worksite Gold Level Award. YSU joins Ohio State University as the only universities in the state to receive the Gold Level Award. “This achievement demonstrates your commitment to the health and well-being of your employees,” Debra Smith of the Healthy Ohio Business Council said.
New degrees
The Board of Trustees approved two new graduate degrees at its meeting in December – a Master of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Visual Arts and a Master of Athletic Training. The programs require approval from the Ohio Department of Higher Education.
Melnick open house
Renovations to Melnick Hall are complete. The building on Wick Avenue is the new home to the YSU Foundation (first floor) and WYSU-FM (second floor). The Foundation has already moved in, and WYSU will follow in February. An open house is scheduled for 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22. Come by and check it out.
