Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 2, 3 and 4. University Theater presents Stephen Sondheim’s musical, “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum”, in the Ford Theater of Bliss Hall. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 p.m. while the Sunday matinee performance is at 2 p.m. Adult tickets are $16. Special rate tickets are $8 for non-YSU students, YSU faculty and staff with valid ID, senior citizens, Penguin Club members and groups of eight (8) or more. Saturday, Dec. 3, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Empty Bowls, an international project to fight hunger featuring handmade ceramic bowls, comes to YSU’s McDonough Museum of Art. The event is presented by the YSU Department of Art’s Ceramics Program. Donations/tickets are $15 online at http://emptybowlsysu.eventbrite.com, or $20 at the door.

Saturday, Dec. 3. Basketball doubleheader at Beeghly Center: Men, noon, vs. Oberlin; women, 2:30 p.m., vs. St. Francis (Pa.).

Friday and Saturday, Dec. 2 and 3, 8 p.m. Ward Beecher Planetarium presents “Skywatch.” Also, at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, the planetarium presents “Legends: Perseus and Andromeda.” Free.
