Student ceramic art featured in Bliss Hall exhibit
“Current Clay (2016-2018)”, an exhibit of ceramic art created by Youngstown State University students, is on display in Bliss Hall’s Judith Rae Solomon Gallery through March 22.
Gallery hours are weekdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A gallery reception is scheduled for 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 21. Both the exhibition and the reception are free and open to the public.
The exhibition includes work produced in ceramics classes taught by Professor Missy McCormick from 2016 to 2018. Pieces include distinctive hand built, wheel thrown and slip cast work being made in the YSU Art Department.
Artists represented are Amanda Spinosa, Kristie Gearhart, Laura Goist, Moriah Diglaw, Avionne Mitchell, Dan Newman, Weslie Detwiler, Tom Davidson, Christopher Andrews, Angel Phelps, Rachel Marchese, Chelsea Wells, Ebony Robinson, Rachel Hostetler, Rachel Emerson, Tammy Bigley, Lydia Tarleton, Tiffany Snow, Alex Plakodniak, Alexis Phillips, Deanna Cameneti, Kelly Livi, Thomas Lepo, Caroline Lacusky, Mandy Bell and Miranda Timmins.
