Performance includes show-stopping Broadway musical hits

Members of the cast of The Heavy Hitters CabaretMusic from Les Miserables, Guys and Dolls, West Side Story, Phantom of the Opera and several other top Broadway musicals is featured as the Youngstown State University Department of Theatre and Dance presents “The Heavy Hitters Cabaret” 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in the Eleanor Beech Flad Pavilion at the DeYor Performing Arts Center in downtown Youngstown.

Tickets are $25 and available at 330-744-4269 or Student tickets are $5 with student ID. Parking is available in adjacent lots for a nominal fee. All proceeds benefit the YSU Musical Theatre program and initiatives.

“The Heavy Hitters Cabaret is a not-to-be-missed, one-night-only event featuring show-stopping, iconic numbers from the musical theatre canon performed by the students in the Musical Theatre program,” said Maria Fenty Denison, who coordinates the program.
