Penguin Equestrian team headed to national semifinals

The Youngstown State University Western Equestrian team has qualified for the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association Western Semifinals, March 16- 17, at Utah State University in Logan, Utah.

The YSU team, along with individual qualifiers, Emily Bevan, a Business Administration major from Youngstown; Stephanie Dessler, a Biology major from New Galilee, Pennsylvania; Celeste Snyder, a double major in Public Health and Biology from Youngstown; and Kayleigh Upole, an Exercise Science major from Warren, Ohio compete in IHSA Zone 2, Region 5.

The top four individuals and top three teams will advance to the National Championships May 2-5 in Syracuse, New York.
