Mad About the Arts Sept. 27 benefits McDonough, WYSU
Mad About the Arts, the annual celebration benefiting the McDonough Museum of Art and 88.5 WYSU, marks its 24th year 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at the museum on the campus of Youngstown State University.
The evening includes hors d’oeuvres, desserts, wine, jazz music by the David Lynn Trio and dance music by The Sensations. On display at the museum are three new exhibitions: Excavations: The Prints of Julie Mehretu; Dana Oldfather: Out of the Woods Into the Weeds; and Whitney Tressel: America Still.
Tickets are $75. For WYSU and McDonough members, YSU faculty/staff/students, and alumni of the Cliffe College of Creative Arts and Communication, tickets are $50. Purchase tickets at www.wysu.org/madaboutthearts or 330-941-3363. Parking available for $5 in the Wick Avenue deck.

The McDonough Museum of Art features changing exhibitions, installations, performances and lectures by regional, national and international artists and also functions as public outreach for the Cliffe College and the Department of Art, exhibiting work by students, faculty and alumni.
