Mad About the Arts Feb. 2 benefits McDonough Museum, WYSU

The 23rd Annual Mad About the Arts is 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, in the John J McDonough Museum of Art on the campus of Youngstown State University, featuring an evening of contemporary art, music, dance, wine tasting and food sampling.
 

The event benefits the museum and 88.5 WYSU.

Admission is $80. Admission is $65 for WYSU and McDonough Museum members, YSU faculty/staff/students (21 and over), and alumni of the YSU College of Creative Arts and Communication.

The evening opens at 7 p.m. with a performance of YSU’s Jazz Ensemble. Guests may sample wines and beverages from A&C Beverage, L’uva Bella Winery and Redhead Wine, Markko Vineyard, Pressed Coffee Bar & Eatery and Thirsty Dog Brewing Company. Aladdin’s, Cassese’s MVR, Inspired Catering by Kravitz, and Rulli Bros will provide food, and desserts are provided by Giannios Candy, Jimmy’s Italian Specialities, One Hot Cookie and Cafe Augustine. On display in the museum’s galleries is the Biennial Faculty Exhibition, “Immersion.” Music provided by the Sensations.
