Youngstown State University celebrates International Education Week and International Students’ Day with a variety of events across campus.
Global Meditation. Monday, Nov. 16, 11 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in Bresnahan 1 and 2, Kilcawley Center. Join YSU’s Meditation Club for two meditation workshops that will allow students an opportunity to learn about meditation practices in different cultures.
Love and Dating: Love is Universal, Dating is Not. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Hynes Room 2068, Kilcawley Center. Panel discussion about the concepts of love and dating from around the globe.
Religion Around the World. Wednesday, Nov. 18, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Hynes Room 2068, Kilcawley Center. Panel discussion about the many religious belief systems around the globe.
International Students’ Day Kickoff Processional. Thursday, Nov. 19, 8:45 a.m., meet in Jones Hall, Room 1004. A short processional celebrating international students, with students carrying their country flags.
YSU 1st Annual International Students’ Day. Thursday, Nov. 19, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Chestnut Room, Kilcawley Center. The day’s events consists of tables representing countries of students attending YSU, showcasing their traditional clothing, artifacts, language, customs and rituals. When: Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015
International Interviewing Skills and Job Search Techniques. Friday, Nov. 20, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Esterly Room 2069, Kilcawley Center. The workshop collaboration with Career Services gives students an interactive opportunity to enhance interviewing skills and discuss relevant job search methods.
