Dare to Care this week

The American Red Cross is among the places YSU Business students will volunteer for Dare to Care. Here, students prepare disaster trailers for tornado season.

Youngstown State University students volunteer to work with area nonprofit organizations during the Dare to Care Project Friday, March 29, organized by the Williamson College of Business Administration at YSU.

Students will spend the day working at the American Red Cross, Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County, Boys and Girls Clubs of Youngstown, Junior Achievement, Habitat for Humanity, OH Wow!, SMARTS (Students Motivated by the Arts) and Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries.

At each organization, students will receive a tour, participate in an information session, and complete a volunteer activity. YSU students will organize work areas, paint or clean up around the building, pull weeds, lay mulch, paint inside murals, work with disaster team to prepare disaster trailers for tornado season, and assist with a special school preview event. The day will culminate with a luncheon at each organization. The
