Campus events set for Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Sexual Assault Awareness MonthYoungstown State University recognizes Sexual Assault Awareness Month with a variety of events throughout April, including:

  • Tuesday, April 5, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., “The Dos and Donuts of Dating,” upstairs lobby, Kilcawley Center.
  • Monday, April 11, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., “One Love Workshop,” explores the 10 signs of unhealthy relationships, Rossi Room, Kilcawley Center.
  • Tuesday, April 12, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., “Let’s Talk Consent,” upstairs lobby, Kilcawley Center.
  • Friday, April 15, 7 p.m., “The Hunting Ground,” documentary about sexual assault on U.S. campuses, Cafaro Multipurpose Room.
  • Tuesday, April 18, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., “Active Bystander,” upstairs lobby, Kilcawley Center.
  • Tuesday, April 18, through Friday, April 22, “The Clothesline Project.”
  • Friday, April 29, 6 to 8 p.m., “Take Back the Night,” rally and march for awareness of sexual abuse and violence, Rossi Room, Kilcawley Center.

The week also includes a display of anonymous stories from YSU survivors of sexual assault and a display of outfits and stories aiming to break the myth that sexual assault if related to wardrobe choice.
