    Biography

    LTC Josh Woodruff graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2007 and upon graduation was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps. His civilian education includes a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from BGSU, Masters of Science in Supply Chain Management and Logistics from the University of Kansas, and Masters of Arts in Military Operations (Distinguished Graduate) from the Army’s School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS). LTC Woodruff’s military education includes the Basic Officer Leaders Course, Quartermaster Officer Basic Course, Logistics Captains Career Course, and Intermediate Level Education.

    LTC Woodruff has held several key staff and operational planning positions to include Battalion S4, 68th Combat Service Support Battalion, Fort Carson, CO; Assistant Brigade S4, 4th Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Cavazos, TX; Brigade Support Operations Officer (SPO), 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Joint Base Lewis McChord; G5 Operational Planner, 1st Corps, Joint Base Lewis McChord, and G5 Strategic Planner, Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command, Scott Air Force Base, IL.

    LTC Woodruff’s command assignments include E Forward Support Company, 2-7 CAV, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Cavazos, TX; Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2-7 CAV, 3ABCT, 1CD, FT Cavazos, TX; and the Charleston Recruiting Company, Charleston WV.

    LTC Woodruff was deployed twice in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM in 2009-2010 and 2012-2013. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal (4th Award), Army Commendation Medal (3rd Award), Army Achievement Medal (3rd Award), Meritorious Unit Commendation, Parachutist Badge, and Recruiter Badge.

    Prior to assuming his current role, LTC Woodruff served as a Strategic planner with Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) at Scott Air Force Base, IL.

    LTC Woodruff is happily married to his wife Kimberly, and together they have two children, Austin and Hannah. They currently reside in Hartville, Ohio.
