- Successful completion of Calculus II with grade B or better
- Ability to tutor courses in Algebra, PreCalculus & Calculus
- Ability to tutor introductory statistics is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to explain mathematical concepts
- Familiarity with online homework platforms is a plus (WebAssign/MyMathLabs/ALEKS)
- Skills and work habits appropriate for employment in an academic support environment
- Must be willing to explain Center information to incoming students/faculty/staff/parents
- Must be willing to work a minimum of 10 hours/week during regular semesters
- Must be available to work at least 8 hours during finals week
- Ability to function as a mature member of a team
- Hourly wage-$9.00/hr

MAC OFFICE SPECIALIST 1

- Good communication skills in English, including effective telephone communication
- Skills and work habits appropriate for employment in an academic support environment
- Must be discrete and adhere to all FERPA regulations when dealing with student records
- Must be willing to explain Center information to incoming students/faculty/staff/parents
- Use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Docs is a must
- Must be able to multi-task and complete action items in a timely manner
- Available to work during peak periods of activity in the MAC
- Must be available to work at least 8 hours during finals week
- Ability to function as a mature member of a team
- Must be willing to open and/or close the Center at least once a week
- Light tidying up of the Center is required when opening/closing
- Training provided for data entry and student tracking
- Hourly wage-$8.50/hr

MAC GRAD COORDINATOR

- Must be enrolled in a Graduate Program at YSU or possess a bachelor’s degree
- Must have and maintain a 3.2 G.P.A./above
- Must be available to work 20-25 hours per week during fall & spring, at least 10 hours during finals week, summer semesters are optional
- Must maintain a high level of professionalism in the workplace
- Excellent communication skills, including effective telephone communication
- Goal oriented and the ability to complete tasks independently and promptly
- Must be discrete and adhere to all FERPA regulations when dealing with student records
- Applicant is expected to represent the Center at SOAR, Orientation, Crash Day and other events
- Hourly wage-$11.00/hr

MAC MEDIA SPECIALIST

- Maintain the MAC website and social media platforms on a regular basis
- Must be able to work 10 hours/week
- Design logos and flyers for recurring events
- Provide social media marketing techniques to increase visibility
- Document and publish images from MAC outreach events
- Track and measure the impact of social media campaigns
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Training provided for webpage management
- Knowledge of Adobe InDesign is a plus
- Hourly wage-$9.00/hr
