Aidan Smith, a business administration student in the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University, has been selected as a recipient of the 2025–26 Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Roll Scholarship.

The competitive scholarship recognizes outstanding academic achievement, leadership and commitment to the values of Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honor society for business students at AACSB-accredited institutions.

Smith maintains a 4.0 GPA and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a minor in finance and a leadership certificate. He serves as president of YSU’s Beta Gamma Sigma chapter, where he has played an active role in student engagement and recruitment, helping introduce underclassmen to the academic and professional opportunities available through the organization.

In addition to his leadership with Beta Gamma Sigma, Smith is involved in the Student Investment Fund and the Economics Club and participates in networking and professional development events on campus. He balances his academic commitments with employment at Moe’s Southwest Grill and UPS.

“Aidan exemplifies the values of Beta Gamma Sigma: honor, wisdom, and earnestness,” said Jeong Hoon Choi, chapter advisor. “His academic excellence, leadership, and perseverance make him an outstanding representative of our chapter and of the Williamson College of Business Administration.”

The Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Roll Scholarship program is a newly established initiative available exclusively to chapters that achieved Highest Honors status based on their 2024–25 chapter survey results. YSU’s Beta Gamma Sigma chapter has earned Highest Honors recognition for multiple consecutive years, reflecting sustained excellence in leadership, member engagement and programming.

Founded in 1913, Beta Gamma Sigma recognizes high-achieving students in undergraduate and graduate business programs at AACSB-accredited institutions. Membership and scholarship awards reflect commitment to academic excellence, ethical leadership and service.
