The Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University will host more than 55 local, regional and national employers during its annual Meet the Employers Day on 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 4, in the Weir Atrium of Williamson Hall.
This signature career engagement event provides WCBA students with direct access to a wide range of employers across industries including finance, accounting, marketing, management, supply chain, analytics and technology. Students will have the opportunity to explore internships, part-time positions and full-time career pathways while building professional connections that support long-term career success.
Meet the Employers Day also serves as a vital talent pipeline for organizations seeking to recruit career-ready graduates and emerging professionals, reinforcing WCBA’s role in supporting regional talent growth throughout the Mahoning Valley and beyond.
“At PNC, early career talent is central to how we grow, and that starts with opportunities to build skills, confidence and connections,” said Ted Schmidt, PNC Regional President for Youngstown. “We’re excited to be on campus meeting YSU students who are ready to learn, contribute and take the next step through our development programs.”
“Meet the Employers Day exemplifies our commitment to preparing students for meaningful careers through experiential learning and strong employer partnerships,” said Christina O’Connell, Executive Director of the WCBA Center for Career Management. “Events like this allow students to engage directly with employers, apply their classroom learning in real-world conversations, and take confident steps toward their professional goals.”
The event is coordinated by the WCBA Center for Career Management, which supports students through individualized career coaching, résumé and interview preparation, and access to internship and employment opportunities. The center also collaborates closely with employers and alumni through the Handshake platform to expand professional pathways for WCBA students.
