Trumpeter, Steve Enos, Former Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) Jazz Studies, Director. Steve earned his Bachelor's Degree in Professional Music with a Jazz Performance Emphasis from the Berklee College of Music and his Master’s in Music Education from the University of Akron.
He is the founding director of the award winning Tri-C JazzFest High School All-Stars and Creator of the Tri-C Jazzfest. Steve supported and sponsored Tri-C JazzFest Summer with the Jazz Master’s Program. Steve is the Co-Director of the East Central Jazz Educators All Star Big Band. He is also a member of the Ernie Krivda Fat Tuesday Big Band and Omnibus Orchestra, Cleveland Jazz Orchestra and performs in the Playhouse Square Orchestra and for their “Broadway Series”.
At the Berklee College of Music, he received the Lennie Johnson Memorial Scholarship Award and performed with the Boston famed, Herb Pomeroy Orchestra. He has performed with Aretha Franklin, The Four Tops, The Temptations, The Funk Brothers, Natalie Cole, Louis Bellson, Phil Woods, David Sanborn, Eric Marienthal, Hank Crawford, Mulgrew Miller, Ted Nash, Nick Brignola, Kenny Burrell, Marcus Belgrave, Sean Jones, Dominick Farinacci, David “Fathead” Newman, Buddy DeFranco, Joe Lovano, Little Jimmy Scott, Benny Golson, Tommy Flanagan, Mulgrew Miller, Wayne Bergeron, Bruce Johnstone, Bobby Shew, Dave Grusin, Christian McBride, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, Johnny Mathis, Dennis Rowland, Gregory Hines, Bernadette Peters, Manhattan Transfer, New York Voices, Barry Manilow, Freddie Cole, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Little Anthony and the Imperials, The Grass Roots and others. Under his direction, the Tri-C Jazz Studies Program is a nationally recognized music program with articulation agreements with both the Berklee College of Music in Boston, and the Jackie Mclean Jazz Institute at the Hartt School of Music in Hartford, Connecticut. Steve Enos is a Yamaha Artist and a recipient of 2021 “Cleveland Jazz Legend Award”
