Pete & Penny’s Summer Camps
is Cancelled for the Summer of 2024
After some difficult discussions, we have unfortunately decided to cancel this year's Pete & Penny's Summer Camp Program. This decision was made due to unexpected circumstances within the Campus Recreation Department. We do not believe we can offer the camp in a way that is enjoyable for all campers, but more importantly, in a way that is safe, up to our standards, and to the level of service that all of you expect.
We are also planing some Pete & Penny's Days. These will be day-long programs, completely free of charge for members, for your children to come to the Rec and enjoy some of the activities they were looking forward to, such as the rock wall, high ropes course, meeting Pete the Penguin, and other fun activities. Although we have not yet scheduled these events, we will be sure to inform you when they are, as well as the schedule of events for them. If you have any questions regarding the program or cancellation, please to not hesitate to contact Ryan at ramnicholas@ysu.edu as we work through these processes.
We truly apologize for the inconvenience, and hope to see you in 2025 for the return of Pete & Penny's Summer Camp. Thank you for your time!
NECESSARY PAPERWORK
After completion of camp registration, a camp packet will be sent via email to parent or guardian to complete camp waivers and medical forms during the month of May or the Wednesday of the week before your camp begins. This packet will need to be mailed back to The Department of Campus Recreation prior to camp. Attention: Summer Camp, Campus Recreation, 1 University Plaza, Youngstown , Ohio 44555.
