Lifeguards have complete jurisdiction in pool area
Only bathing attire is allowed in pool and/or deck.
All children under 12 years old and non-swimmers must be accompanied by a responsible person.
Only Current faculty, staff and students of Youngstown State University and their families are allowed in the pool.
Validated YSU I.D.'s are required for equipment and facility use.
Do not dive into the shallow end of the pool.
Open recreation can include activities other than lap swimming (this is the time to bring children who do not swim laps).
All Campus Recreation programs, scheduled facility usage, equipment, and services are exclusively reserved for students, faculty, staff, Rec option Alumni members, and authorized outside teams.
Proper swim attire is required. Swimming in underwear, sanitaries, thongs or see through suits is prohibited.
Swimmers with open sores or an infectious disease are not permitted in the pool or pool area.
No smoking.
No eating, drinking, or chewing gum in the pool or pool area.
No intoxicating beverages or intoxicated persons are allowed.
All glass and glass containers are prohibited; ne exceptions.
Use of diving platform is restricted to persons who are under the personal direction of the aquatic director.
Only lifeguards may occupy the stands.
Anyone not complying with pool rules will lose their pool privileges.
Flotation devices are available anytime upon request.
We will have several groups using the facility simultaneously. It is important to respect all users and swim in the proper designated areas.
