Working toward your dream career doesn’t have to break the bank! YSU already offers affordable tuition rates and over HALF A MILLION dollars in additional scholarships are awarded to STEM students annually.

The Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program is available to incoming Ohio residents in eligible STEM majors. Up to $4000 a year along with monthly programming focused on career and professional development.

The connections you make in college will be just as important to your future as the classes you take. Luckily, the STEM College offers a variety of honorary, special-interest, competition and major-specific student organizations to help you meet other students with similar interests.

Opportunities for student participation in clubs and organizations on campus are limitless. Current campus organizations include a broad variety of national, regional and local organizations, associations and institutions. Student organizations are open to all students currently enrolled at Youngstown State University and who have an interest to participate.

The best way to see what YSU and STEM have to offer is to come for a visit! Meet our student-centered faculty and staff and talk to students in your program of interest. You can come for an Open House like Penguin Preview Day, schedule a campus tour through the Office of Admissions, or check out our Annual STEM Showcase.
