Order an electronic transcript using the National Student Clearinghouse link on YSU’s transcript request page. To request a PDF transcript, you must use the online ordering process to choose this option.
This electronic transcript will be sent as a PDF. Your recipient will receive 2 emails: one with a passcode unique to your transcript; a second email contains a link to a secure server to download your transcript. The electronic transcript is not sent as an email attachment.
The retrieval link expires in 30 days. The recipient must download or print the transcript within 30 days. After the link has expired a new transcript must be ordered.
You must confirm that the recipient is willing and has the means to accept an electronic PDF transcript (using the latest version of Adobe® Acrobat or Adobe® Reader) before placing your order.
The electronic pdf is digitally signed and therefore contains special security features. The transcript will display a digital certificate displaying a blue ribbon. If the transcript has been altered or considered illegitimate in any way the blue ribbon will not display.
Note: To see all signature properties and view the author the recipient may need to add the National Student Clearinghouse as a trusted certificate.
A transcript key is included with your electronic transcript.
