Each year, the National History Day (NHD) organization sets a theme to guide and support students' research objectives. Annual themes are chosen to be broad, encouraging students to research topics that are relevant to their own interests in local, state, national, or world history. Students connect their projects to the theme by demonstrating their topic's historical context and significance. This year, the NHD theme is Rights and Responsibility in History. Head to the NHD website to learn more, as well as access NHD's useful collection of theme-specific resources.
