The 60 semester hour Master of Social Work (MSW) professional program includes theoretical and applied courses in social work and internship engagements under the supervision of professional social workers in regional social service agencies. The program emphasizes advanced social work practice with individuals and families, the client strength’s perspective, and social services leadership. Courses are available at the Holden University Center weekday evenings and Saturdays.
Youngstown State University’s (YSU) Bachelor of Science in Applied Science (B.S.A.S.) in criminal justice is a bachelor’s degree completion program for students who have completed an associate degree in criminal justice. YSU provides 30 semester hours of Criminal Justice courses taught by YSU professors through Lakeland’s Holden University Center. Students pay YSU tuition and fees for these 30 hours.
Youngstown State University’s (YSU) Bachelor of Social Work (B.S.W.) is a 124 total credit hour program combining general education, social science support courses, social work courses, and a two semester internship experience resulting in a Council on Social Work Education accredited B.S.W. degree. Students complete general education and support courses offered through Lakeland Community College. Social work courses are completed at Lakeland’s Holden University Center through YSU. Upon receipt of the B.S.W.
