Your (the student's) school district CCP coordinator, or school counselor, reviews course options and high school graduation requirements with you to determine what courses to register for.

If you are taking classes on campus...
Registration days and times are sent to the student's YSU email account.
Each student enrolled in a CCP course will have the option to withdraw. It is important to remember that if you are enrolled in a YSU course offered at your HS, you may not be able to withdraw from the actual high school class itself if you are using it to fulfill a high school credit.
Before you withdraw, be sure to consider...
If you are concerned about your grade affecting acceptance or scholarships in college, talk to your YSU advisor or CCP staff before officially dropping the course. In many cases, when students transfer the credit from YSU to another institution, the credit will transfer and the GPA will not. Therefore, you would start at your new university with a brand new GPA.

We encourage you to speak with your Academic Advisor or a member of the CCP office before you withdraw from a course.
You have 14 calendar days from the start of the term to withdraw with no penalty. That means there is no record that you ever took the course, and the school district will not be charged tuition. If you drop after the 14th day, there will be a “W” on your YSU transcript, and there may be a financial penalty. See your high school’s financial policy for details.

Students who wish to change their registration for classes offered at their high school should see their school CCP Coordinator for the Change of Registration Form. Students who register for campus or online classes can change their registration in their Penguin Portal.
