Instructor Application Process & Deadline

How to Apply

Prospective instructors submit a College Credit Plus (CCP) Instructor Application Packet documenting their credentials. CCP personnel will review the applications and forward them to the appropriate YSU academic department chairs who have final authority on faculty/CCP instructor hiring.

We are in the process of moving the CCP Instructor application to a web-based format; however, not all departments have migrated to the online system yet. Please follow the directions below to determine how to submit your application.

High school teachers applying to become a CCP Instructor for:

  • Education, Foreign Language, Geography, Geology/Environmental Science, History, Investigations into Social Class, Music Lit, Math, Political Science, & Psychology – Submit a paper application to the CCP office

Deadline to Apply

Complete instructor applications are due no later than October 31 of the preceding academic year. Teachers who apply 12-18 months in advance of teaching the YSU course can attend CCP workshops for a year before they begin teaching. Applying early also provides sufficient time to address issues that may arise during the application process.

EXCEPTION: Schools may learn after October 31 that they need to replace a CCP instructor. If this occurs, please contact the CCP office to make accommodations for late applicants.
