Undergraduate Degrees

Admission Requirements:

• A completed undergraduate application prior to the semester's deadline date.(follow application procedure below)
• $40 non-refundable application fee. *(see application fee waiver information below)
• An official high school transcript and, if applicable, Associate Degree transcript (minimum 2.0 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale).
• Proof of taking the American College Test (ACT) or Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
• For Ohio residents—indication of passing all sections of the Ohio Graduation Test (OGT).

Application Procedure (Please Follow to Ensure You Receive the Application Fee Waiver*):

• Go to the Admissions Login screen.
• Select "First time user account creation".
• Create a Login ID and Pin (must consist of 6 digits between 0 and 9).
• For "Application Type", select "Online New Undergraduate".
• Fill out the application.Complete the application up to the point where it asks you to submit.DO NOT SELECT SUBMIT—If you select submit it will ask you to provide a payment method. Rather, simply stop and close out of the application. This will save your non-processed application and our Admissions Office will go into the system, find it and "hand process" it from that point.
• Fax (330-941-3228) or scan and email your DD Form 214 to our Office of Veterans Affairs. They will verify your veteran's status and apply the fee waiver.

• Send an e-mail to each of your professors (see sample).

Graduate Degrees

Admission Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree from a college or university certified by a national accrediting agency, approved by the U.S. Department of Education.
• An unrecalculated cumulative GPA in undergraduate work of at least 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (some programs may require higher GPAs). If an undergraduate course has been repeated, all grades received will figure in the calculation of the GPA average.
• Satisfactory preparation for the graduate program in which the student wishes to enroll as specified by the department of the major.
• A test of written/spoken English, which the University reserves the right to request, of any entering graduate student whose primary language is not English.
• Degree-seeking students having an undergraduate GPA below 2.7 must present a satisfactory score on the general test of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE), the Miller Analogies Test, or graduate level subject-specific exam as specified by the department of the major.

The applicant is reminded to check specific admission requirements of the program in which he/she wishes to enroll to determine whether there are any additional requirements. Some programs require three letters of recommendation (form* available).
