YSUpdate competed against newsletters from schools with enrollments of 10,000 to 20,000 and was selected among 900 entries from the United States and Canada.

Submissions were reviewed by a national panel of industry experts. Judging criteria included creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal.

“Representing all areas of communications, media, marketing, advertising and promotions, the Collegiate Advertising Awards program contained some of the best projects arguably in the world,” a CAA news release said.
