Summer Housing Information

The summer housing application will open during the first week of April (no later than April 6th). Current residents who need summer housing for any of the following terms can sign up at that time via the online portal (housingapp.ysu.edu) by selecting the appropriate term. Our preferred deadline to apply for summer housing is Thursday, April 13. Summer residents will receive their room assignments by May 5th.

Students must be registered for six credit hours to live in summer housing (minimum of 3 credits per 7-week term if staying the entire summer).  Students who stay for both terms will not need to move out after Summer 1 term.

Total Housing Fees: $2,416.00 per 7-week term

All summer residents will be provided a summer meal plan that will include a combination of Pete’s Points and Flex Points.  These can be used at on and off campus dining locations, including Christman Dining Hall.

If you need a contract extension to stay prior to Summer 1 move in or after Summer II move out, please fill out the contract extension request form.  If you are approved, please know that you will be asked to move into your new assignment during the extension weeks, so you must be present in the halls during those weeks.  Students must have a signed contract for 2023-2024 to stay the week after August 19th.  Any questions about summer housing should be directed to housing@ysu.edu.
