Registration Add Errors
TYPE OF ERRORS DEFINITION SOLUTION
Capacity Error This error means the class is closed due to
the maximum number of students able to sit in the class.
Contact the department the class is offered in or choose a different section.
Class Restriction Error This error means you must be a certain class rank to register for the class (freshman, sophomore, etc.). Contact your advisor.
College Restriction Error This error means you must be enrolled in the college the class is offered in to register for the class. Contact your advisor.
Co-Requisite Error This error means you must register for another class at the same time (i.e. class and lab must be taken the same semester).

OR
Contact your advisor if you are not required to take both/all classes.

Field of Study Error This error means you have to be studying a certain major to register for the class. Contact your advisor.
Pre-Requisite Test Score Error This error means you have not met the requirement to take the class or the system does not recognize that you have done so or are in the process  of doing so. Contact your advisor.
Program Error This error means this class is reserved for certain majors. Contact your advisor.
Time Conflict Error This error means you are signed up for another class that is scheduled at the same time. Contact the Penguin Service Center.
Special Approval Error This error means you must have special approval from the department to sign up for this class. Contact the department the class is offered in.
Student Attribute Error This error means you have to be classified with a certain student attribute (i,e veteran or honors student) to register for the class. Contact the Penguin Service Center or the department (who created the attribute) or choose a different section.


*NOTE: Departments can issue an override to allow registration, but this does not automatically register the student for the course during “Registration by Appointment” through the “Last Day to Add”. It is the student’s responsibility to register for the class after the override has been issued.
